I'm the Wild One
"I'm the Wild One" is a 12x12x1.5 Mixed Media Painting on canvas.
We can't all be expected to color inside the lines, and this painting is my own celebration of play, joy and springtime! Here you'll find a shocking pink swallow flying through a garden of blue sunflowers, purple zinnias and yellow daisies and a protea flower amid drips and splatters of vivid colors. It's a reminder that play, fun and sunshine are healing to the soul.
The quote on the left is from Matt Haig and reads "Be a mess. It's fine. The universe is a mess. Galaxies are drifting all over the place. To be tidy is to be out of tune with the cosmos."
Mixed media elements include, handmade mono printed papers, pages from a French romance novel, sheet music, Nepalese handmade paper and other collage papers. Signed, titled and wired on reverse for easy hanging without a frame. Sides are painting in cream to match the spring colors.
