Imperfectly Wonderful

"Imperfectly Wonderful" is a 12x12x1.5 Mixed Media Painting on canvas.

This is a new piece in my "Sweet Messages" series, and the quote in it reads:

"It doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful."

 Finding beauty in imperfection is my personal theme for the year (and for my classes in Joy of Painting!), so this quote really resonates for me! So often we struggle so much to achieve perfection that we forget that a learning experience or a 'trial run' can be even more helpful and enriching than a 'perfect' result.

Mixed media elements include handmade monoprints and book pages.  The sides are painted in a dark "Shadow Green," and the back is fitted with hardware to hang without a frame. Signed and titled on reverse.
