Springtime in Monet's Garden
Springtime in Monet's Garden is a 12x12x .75 inch original mixed media painting featuring springtime blooms from Monet's gardens at Giverny - tulips, forget-me-nots, and a blossoming cherry tree. These are the real flowers that bloom in May in Monet's gorgeous botanical paradise at his home outside of Paris, and the pink and green areas on the left are inspired by the colors of Monet's home! A little nightingale sits on the cherry blossom tree getting ready to sing his beautiful song. This painting combines my own mixed media painted papers, pages from a gardening dictionary, strips of tiny glitter paper, handmade Nepalese paper and snippets of paper collected from my trip to Paris in 2022.
Signed & titled on reverse and fitted with wire to hang on the wall without a frame.
