Down Under the Sun

Down Under the Sun, a 12x12x2 inch mixed media painting on canvas, depicts a sun-drenched collection of Australian flora and fauna. Included here are pink Protea flowers, a Pincushion Protea, pale magenta wax flowers, a yellow Craspedia as well as two Australian Welcome Swallows soaring through the morning skies.

The mixed media layers of this painting include player piano paper, pages from a fairy tale, handmade mono printed papers, handmade Nepalese paper, a map and other snippets of papers from my travels.  

Signed & titled on reverse and fitted with wire to hang on the wall without a frame. Sides are painted Payne's Gray.
