The Pretty One

The Pretty One- is a 6x8x1.5 inch mixed media painting on deep-cradled canvas.  

This painting is part of my series on autumn blooms and features a goldfinch nestled mums and zinnias. That bright pink zinnia was so luminescent popping out of the garden that I could feel its personality smiling and saying, "yes, it's me! I'm the pretty one!"

Mixed media elements include handmade monoprints and pages from a cookbook on making treats. Signed, titled and wired on reverse and ready to hang on the wall without a frame. Sides are painted in deep eggplant.
