Solstice Kiss

"Solstice Kiss" is an 8x10x3/4 inch acrylic painting on cradled wood panel. 

A bright hummingbird with bronze glittered wings kisses a blooming magenta chrysanthemum against the glow of sunset. The colors of this painting are inspired by the gorgeous orangey-violet sunsets of December. I love the way they cast everything in a frosty, yet rosy glow. I layered many elements of tissue paper, acrylic paint and mixed media to share this feeling on canvas with you!

Mixed media painting with bits of paper from my travels, handmade mono prints, tissue paper and glitter.

Fitted with wire, and signed and title don reverse. Sides are painted in an eggplant color to match the colors of the front. Ready to hang on the wall without a frame!
