Island Dreams

"Island Dreams" is a 12x12x 3/4" Mixed Media Painting on cradled canvas.

Though I now live in the mountains of Asheville, my fondest memories are of childhood with my toes in the sand looking for shells by the ocean. This little house is a memory and a dream - a manifestation of carefree days by the water.

Mixed media elements include handmade monoprints, sheet music, handmade Nepalese paper, and old book pages.  The sides are painted in Storm Blue, and the back is fitted with hardware to hang without a frame. Signed and titled on reverse.
