Fly Me to the Moon

Fly Me to the Moon is a 24x24 inch original mixed media painting on canvas. I painted piece in celebration of my upcoming art retreat to Perigord, France!  These two lovebirds fly over "St. Cirq Lapopie" -a gorgeous ancient castle is built into the hillside adjacent to a flowing river.  It feels like the dream of a place I've always wanted to visit, especially at moonrise! Mixed media elements include handmade papers, nepalese papers, pages from a fairy tale, and, of course, a few tidbits from my trip to Paris this past winter. The flowers are poppies and daisies as well as a few zinnias.

Signed & titled on reverse and fitted with wire to hang on the wall without a frame.
