Turn Up the Music
Turn Up the Music is an 11 x 14 x 1.5 inch original mixed media painting on cradled canvas. This piece continues my story of the little yellow bird (who appeared in She Shines, I've Got a Crush on You, Come Fly With Me and Anything Can Happen in a Day). In this piece, we reconnect with the Little Yellow Bird after she dons her favorite outfit for her night on the town. She's ready to 'turn up the music,' as she dances through the sky with her new favorite friend.
Mixed media elements include pages from a French romance novel -- and you can see the words "amour" and "dansons" (love and let's dance) within the background, pages from a gardening dictionary, handmade Nepalese paper and snippets of paper collected from my trip to Paris in 2022.
Signed & titled and fitted with wire to hang on the wall without a frame. The sides are painted to match the front of the painting.
