"Sunlight in a Bottle is a 12x12x.75 inch Mixed Media Painting on cradled canvas.

Poppies burst from a glass bottle, radiating light and giving this sweet, yellow goldfinch a place to land. The painting includes poppies in all three stages of life: bud, bloom and seed, each having their own beauty.  The background is Storm Blue, and the piece is sealed in cold wax.

Inspired by delicate, colorful poppies from local florist, Carolina Flowers in Asheville, NC!

The sides are painted in Storm Blue, and the back is fitted with hardware to hang without a frame. Signed and titled on reverse.
