Stubbornly Optimistic
"Stubbornly Optimistic" is a 12x12x1.5 Mixed Media Painting on canvas.
This is a new piece in my "Sweet Messages" series, and the quote in the top left reads:
"Magic happens when you do not give up, even though you want to. The universe always falls in love with a stubborn heart."
Life is filled with obstacles, setbacks and heartaches. We don't have to wrack our brains to come up with several that have touched us personally even in the past 24 hours. No one escapes loss. Yet keeping a stubborn heart and steadfastly moving forward amid disappointment allows the good stuff to touch us, too.

Mixed media elements include handmade monoprints, sheet music, handmade Nepalese paper and old book pages. The sides are painted in a dark "Shadow Green," and the back is fitted with hardware to hang without a frame. Signed and titled on reverse.
