One Fine Day

"One Fine Day" is a 12x12x1.5 Mixed Media Painting on canvas and part of my ongoing 'Vintage Vinyl' series of paintings inspired by hit songs from 1940-1980. This celebration of love and beauty is inspired by the 1963 song of the same title by the Chiffons. 

A sweet hummingbird kisses a hot pink zinnia good morning in a garden of zinnias, peonies, daisies and anemone flowers! Colors are pinks, magentas, lavenders along with royal blue and a touch of bright orange.  Mixed media elements include handmade Nepalese paper, pages from a French romance novel and packaging from a Paris bistro. Sides are painted Payne's Gray. Piece is fitted with wire and ready to hang on the wall without a frame needed.
