On Top of the World

On Top of the World is a12x12x 2 inch mixed media painting on canvas.

This little goldfinch perched upon blooming sunflowers is feeling filled with joy as the sun kisses her shoulders. She is surrounded by blooming peonies, zinnias and forget-me-nots. 

The mixed media layers of this painting include pages from a French romance novel, pages from a fairy tale, handmade Nepalese paper, a map and other snippets of papers from my travels.  The color scheme is triadic and will add a pop of color and sunshine to any decor.

Signed & titled on reverse and fitted with wire to hang on the wall without a frame. Sides are painted Payne's Gray to match the colors in the painting.
