My Heart Always Returns to the Sea

My Heart Always Returns to the Sea is a 12x12x .75 inch original mixed media painting on canvas inspired by my childhood growing up by the ocean. I have included 4 varieties of coastal flowers: sea thrift, goldenrod, blanket flowers, and golden poppies. There are also shorebirds (Storm Petrel and Mediterranean Shearwater) media includes pages from a gardening dictionary, strips of tiny glitter paper, handmade Nepalese paper and my own hand-painted papers.  

Signed & titled on reverse and fitted with wire to hang on the wall without a frame.
