Letting Go

"Letting Go" is a 12x12x1.5" Mixed Media Painting on deep-cradled canvas.

 This bouquet of vibrant peonies, (with a few gerbera daisies and asters tucked in) features the lyrics to the song "Let Go" layered beneath the teal green background - and you can still see the words peeking through at the top. As I painted this piece, I thought about how it feels to let go of what no longer serves us and how that can invite warm sunshine and fresh beauty into our lives.

Mixed media elements include handmade monoprints, sheet music, handmade Nepalese paper, and old book pages.  The sides are painted in teal green and the back is fitted with hardware to hang without a frame. Signed and titled on reverse.
