Golden Days
Golden Days is an 11 x 14 x 2 inch mixed media painting on canvas. This painting is an ode to the earth tones of autumn and the golden light that turns everything brilliant just before winter's frost. Two bluebirds follow one another, delighting in these "golden days" together. Colors include browns, gray-turquoise, golden yellow, peach and orange and pink, and the flowers are zinnias, daisies and a vermilion poppy. Mixed media elements include pages from a French romance novel, handmade Nepalese paper and other snippets of papers from my travels.
Signed & titled on reverse and fitted with wire to hang on the wall without a frame.
* This piece using the same core colors as "Bring on the Sun," and is, in many ways, a companion piece to that painting. I will be releasing prints of both of these paintings shortly.
