C'est Si Bon
"C'est Si Bon" is a 12x12x1.5 Mixed Media Painting on canvas inspired by the top hit song of the same title from 1953 made popular that year by Eartha Kitt and Henri Rene and his orchestra. Bright happy ranunculus blooms and narcissus flowers whisper "sweet nothings" to a passing ruby-throated hummingbird, and a quote in the top left reads "not to spoil the ending for you, but everything is going to be ok." A happy reminder to savor the small joy of life.
This is the 13th painting in my "Vintage Vinyl" collection of paintings inspired by songs from 1940-1980. Mixed media elements include hand-printed mono prints, pages from a French romance novel and sheet music. The gorgeous larger flowers were grown by Three Brothers Blooms in Camano Island, Washington and the smaller ones in yellow are from my own yard.
