Top 40 Collection
Paintings based on Billboard Top 40 Hits from 1981-2021. This collection is a work in progress with a new painting being released for each year for the past 4 decades. Music has been such a huge part of my creative practice, and this project feels like a memoir as I relive the songs of my childhood through the present. Like my collage and painting process itself, the paintings are piecing together of memories through scraps of paper collected over the past 20 years along with sheet music from each song.
