"Love Medicine" is my new original, hand-carved 6x8 encaustic painting on a 2-inch deep-cradled wood panel. This bright magenta hummingbird whispers a message of love and healing to the golden-haired girl. This richly colored beeswax-carved painting features hints of gold leaf on the hummingbird's wings and touches of splashed color melted into the background. The colors are gold, lemon-yellow, magenta, light pink and touches of spring green.
The hand-carved details give this painting a feeling of the texture and sculpture, and the colors are very saturated.
